How Personalisation Works

Many of our pieces can be made just for you, from personalised medal hangers and Comrades hangers to house signs, key hooks and dog breed wall art. Here is how it works, from order to delivery.

Step by step

1. Choose your product and finish. Pick the design, size and finish on the product page. Options vary by product. Personalised key hooks, for example, come in stainless steel brush finish, black, blue, red, pink, turquoise, purple or white.
2. Tell us your details. When you add to cart, put your name, race number, house number, saying or colour in the order notes, with as much information as you can. For portrait pieces we will ask you for a high resolution picture.
3. We design it. Once your order is placed and paid for, we create your design and email you a draft.
4. You approve. Reply to confirm, or tell us what to change. Please check spelling and numbers carefully.
5. We make it. Your piece is laser cut in Somerset West, powder coated where needed, quality checked and packed.
6. It ships to you. Delivery options and costs are on our Delivery and Lead Times page.

How long it takes

Most personalised pieces take 10-15 working days from payment and design approval. Each product page shows its own lead time.

For Christmas, order made-to-order and personalised items by 20 November. We close for the year on 12 December.

Changing your order

You can change your order or design details until manufacturing starts. Email darren@dcdesigners.co.za, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.

Good to know

• House signs come in aluminium (black, white, charcoal, grey or bronze) or stainless steel GR316 with a brushed silver finish.
• Our powder coating is designed to protect pieces against the elements, so they can be displayed outdoors.
